~Spring Break and Bennington~

We had a whole week off of school for spring break this year.  So, the kids and I headed to Bennington.  We stayed for a couple of days.  It was so good to go home.  I haven't been home since November.  I love going home.  It reminds me of who I am and why I am me.  It is so relaxing and wonderful to go home.  Things are slower there.  Things are more relaxed.  Things are just different.  I love taking my family and spending time there.  We learn so much and are able to spend quality time with family.
While we were there we burned weeds along the fields and in the back yard. We later went to Georgetown and saw where a man burning weeds,  had burned down his neighbors barn and all his hay on accident.  It was a great learning experience.  We ate at Artic Circle and played in their play land. We went to the story hour at the local library and did a fun Easter egg hunt there.  We had homemade french fries and watched t.v.  I was able to visit with one of my best friends, even though Alex had the worst meltdown he has EVER had.  We made our annual visit to Kings and did a little shopping.  Then Reed and Courtney took me and the boys out to feed cows.  While we were there we saw the cutest baby lambs and calves.  We watched Reed shove antibiotics down the throat of a sick calf.  We drove in the semi with a load of hay.  We drove on a fork lift and moved hay.   Reed even let Alex drive the forklift.  We fed calves and saw the carcass of a dead calf.  The boys loved it.  It was a great- great adventure.  So, when most people say they went to Vegas or St. George for Spring break.  We can say we went to Idaho and burned weeds and fed calves and had a glorious time.

~Family Walk

April 1, 2012

Our family went for a walk during General Conference sessions on Sunday.  It was a beautiful day.  It was snowing and warm.  There were pink and white blossoms on the trees.  The sky way gray and cloudy.  The snowflakes were big and wet.  There were puddles everywhere.  We took our new neighbors some brownies and walked home.  It was so refreshing.  The air was cool.  Zach ran through puddles, and Chad had a snowball fight with Alex.  Sami carried her umbrella and tried to help Alex during the snowball fight.  It was a great afternoon.

General Conference~

I love General Conference.  I sat downstairs this morning with my little family and listened to the Prophet of God.  I am so thankful for a modern day prophet.  I am so thankful for revelation and for the Holy Ghost.  I am thankful for eternal families and for temples.  I am so thankful for our healthy bodies.  I am thankful for my trials and heartache!  I am thankful for repentance and forgiveness. I am thankful for so so thankful for the Atonement.  It is so big I can't wrap my head around it.  I am so so thankful for the gift and sacrifice the Savior gave me.  I feel his love.  I know without a doubt that he lives.  I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God.  I feel the power of the Holy Ghost when he speaks.  I am thankful for General Conference.  My cup runneth over.....
